And there was the beginning
This is the story about how it started and how the studio is today |
|
Makeing a raster construction for plasterplates |
The story started somwhere in 1996 when someone came to me and asked if i was intrested to start a rockband with him. I said yeah i would like to join your band but i don't have no equipment anymore, and that I had to disscus it with my wife if she would approve it, cause I just bought a new motorcycle at that moment.
So I went to my wife and asked her what she tought about, she said: Well John you know what I think, you can't have two hobby's so you have to decide for your self what you like to do the motorcycle or music.

I called the guy and said give me a couple days to think about it and I call you at the end of the week. You know the blood goes where it can't go, so I called him and said that I was in for it but that I had to sell my bike to buy some new gear like a guitar, amplefier, effects, cause i sold all of that to buy my bike.....HaHa!!.
But then another problem came up, i asked him....Where do you want to rehersal with the band, you have a place for it?, well No he said do you have any suggestions? |

Our first equipment |
Well Yeah!!? I said, at the back of the house we have a big garage and we don't do anything with it at the moment....so why not use it for a rehersalroom for the band, but we need to change the , so after a few weeks of rebuilding the garage, everything was finished aand we went buying some equipment to rehersal with so we could do our first rehersal session with the band. We played for a few months and after a while it starting me thinking.....what if i could record our music!!!, but the place wasn't fit for recording and sertainly not the equipment we used.....sooo???.... |
|
So i started building and rebuilding the place and also looked for other equipment to record with. We looked around for what was available in the marked I didn't know there was alot so I went to a guy and he had a studiomixer left over and this was a 24 channel Dynamix console with 8 subgroups, but we needed also something to record it on and there for we bought a Tascam 8 channel cassetedeck u needed to put in a cassette and you could record 8 tracks on it. Now the studio started to get shape and we called it "Dice Recording Studios".
